Catalog vs stock
MerchMind separates what you sell from how much you have.
Catalog = definition
Section titled “Catalog = definition”In Catalog you create the item: name, SKU, units, taxes, and prices. That answers “what is this product?”
Inventory = quantity
Section titled “Inventory = quantity”On-hand quantity appears only when Inventory posts a movement, for example:

- Opening stock
- Transfer in
- Reversal of a write-off (rare)
Until then, the product can exist in Catalog with zero (or no) warehouse balance. The till will treat stock according to item type and available quantity.
