Cash

Retail pay UI: enter Amount received; MerchMind shows total paying, change, and remaining balance. Overpay applies only what is due; excess is change.

M-Pesa

Section titled “M-Pesa”

Where enabled for the branch (credentials are configured by platform admins, not tenant self-service):

  • STK Push — customer phone prompted; confirmation returns to the sale
  • Paybill or Till — product type is per branch
  • KopoKopo — supported as an alternate provider on some branches
  • Manual M-Pesa — record an offline payment by confirmation code (unique across payments); no supervisor PIN
  • QR (Daraja) — can print on held-sale bills; does not create a payment by itself

Insurance and some pharmacy M-Pesa paths may still be deferred — follow what your till offers.
